Victoria Jackson Beauty

The final purchase from Tuesday's shopping trip was this Victoria Jackson beauty kit. I have to admit to admit I hadn't heard of Victoria Jackson until I read Laura's Bloggy Blog I was really impressed with her review and the pigmentation of the swatches. I was in WHSmith when I was approached by a lovely girl promoting the range - I was really impressed with the goodies and the price that I was offered - £30 for everything I got, so I thought it was worth a try - When I got home I checked on the Victoria Jackson website I realised how much I had actually saved

First of all I got this brush kit - this was different to Laura's

These aren't by Victoria Jackson but by a company called Makeover Essentials which is affiliated to Victoria Jackson - they are natural brushes and retail at the moment for $89 - faints!!!

I also got the Perfectly Paradise Tropical Lipgloss case - Laura got this too

These glosses are lovely - they all contain natural fruit oils, and come in different flavours such as coconut and peach - they are also super pigmented

These also contain a fabulous smooth, nude lipliner. This kit retails at $39!!!!

I also got the same the Eyes Have It Eyeshadow Kit as Laura - again this is super pigmented and the shadows are super smooth and are in really neutral, wearable colours

I also got the Silk Lip Colour Kit probably my favourite product in the set

This kit retails for $49.99 ! This kit really was a bargain when you look at the prices on the US website and the quality seems really good, as does the Victoria Jackson Beauty Tips book you also get - some really good tips in it. So next time you see the girls in Debenhams, or WHSmith (weird place to demo make up tho - lol)stop to take a look - yes the promo and spiel is cheesy but the make up isn't half bad :) I am a pleased LouLou with this lot :)

  1. My boyf got me that lipgloss set and an eyeshadow palette after a sales rep walked into his workplace. I never reach for the gloss if I'm honest and the e/s pay off is poor.

Their sales tactics are dodgy too. They hype up the price of their products but they're nothing special to warrant the price they are in the first place.

  2. ee well so far so good the e/s seems ok actually and I will definitely wear at least two of the glosses (well alongside my other 40 ir so lol) - to be honest I don't think a lot of make up is worth what they charge for it if I am being honest I mean what about a Chantecaille blush for £90 or something they can't justify the prices for some of it -I don't think I would pay the fully price for it personally but for £30 I don't think its bad
