As you know I managed to get my hand on a couple of these when they were released but a few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be sent a new flavour / colour to try. I received LGW6 Tropical Tango. I must admit when I saw this I blanched in horror this hot tangerine certainly isn't for the faint hearted!
The colour is obviously the first thing you notice about this gloss - it is majorly bright and goes on that way too - orange and tangerine were really hot colours this summer and this gloss features in the new issue of Boots Health and Beauty magazine as a trend for Autumn too.
I have to admit though I didn't find this the easiest colour to wear - it is quite pigmented as you can see, and on me normally it was way too bright, with a tan however it doesn't look quite as strong
I suppose you could apply it very gently or over a brown or nude lipstick for a less obvious look.
Out of all the Barry M lipgloss wands I've tried I actually liked the taste of this one the best - it really reminded me of the fruit salad chews I used to get from the school tuck shop -pineapply citrussy and yummy -the texture was also equally good not too sticky, with a bit of moisture.
Would I buy this one again - probably not - the colour wasn't me at all but if you want something a bit different this is definitely a one to try.If this colour isn't for you there are another 8 to try including the Toffee, and Strawberries and Cream which I have, as well as Coconut Clear, Pastel Pink, Bubblegum Pink, Sugar Pink Glitter, Cherry Glitter and Strawberry Glitter. They are available direct from Barry M and also from selected Boots and Superdrugs for a RRP of £4.25 each
I Love the smell of the lilac one. Strawberry ice cream. mmmm

I love that one too - hell they all smell and taste good :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review Lou - I've been fancying a new gloss that tastes nice, and it looks like these have decent colour pay-off! I hate too-sticky ones too so these sound perfect. I will check them out at the weekend x
ReplyDeleteWow its bright, i do love the smell of these glosses but that colour would be too much on me! x
ReplyDeleteI quite like the colour. It's not one I would normally reach for either but I am tempted to try it. I got a Kat Von D orange lipgloss when I was in the states which I was disappointed with so this could be a good replacement!
