Holiday Goodies - Airport Shopping :)

I bought so many bits whilst I was away I have decided to split my holiday buys into three seperate posts :) The first one is stuff I got in Newcastle and Larnaca airports, and via my Thomas Cook flights :)

I flew from Newcastle airport - it isn't the biggest airport but its tax/ duty free shopping has recently been expanded - alas still no MAC counter but I did still manage to pick up a few nice bits

First of all I got the new Marc Jacobs fragrance - Lola - I know a few bloggers have got this recently and wow it really is gorgeous - a lovely fragrance with an equally gorgeous bottle - I am such a sucker for packaging

I also picked up one of the YSL Rouge Volupte Lipsticks in 1 - Beige Chrnel - Nude Beige - OMG what can I say about this erm.. worth every penny it is gorgeous - super packaging, a lovely shade and so moisturising all the hype about this formulation is so right !

I also pciked up a bottle of the Estee Lauder Idealist Pore Refinisher - I have used this before and it really improves the clairy of my skin - I have tried the Soap & Glory Fab Pore Mask but it hasn't really done it for me (full review to come) and I know this product works

I also was a bad LouLou and picked up one the traveller exclusive kits by Christian Dior - I was totally sucked in by the amazing packaging and the super smokey glam eye and lip colours - I got the Dior Gaucho Celebration Kit :)

I also picked up a few necklaces from the terminals recently opened Accessorize

To be honest I was much more restrained at Larnaca airport - I only picked up a bottle of my holy grail fragrance Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio and a pair of bow earrings

I really wanted the Guerlain Russian Doll eye palette but unfortunately it had sold out :( So instead I treat myself to the Urban Decay Sustainable Shadows kit on my flight - again the packaging is gorgeous

  1. Oooh some lovely stuff you've bought Lou. I swatched the YSL lippies in Sephora, they're so creamy and luxurious on the skin. I may indulge myself next year.

I was ummming and ahhhing over MJ Lola and Chaud put me off buying it by wrinkling his nose up when I asked him to smell it on me! Charming!

  2. Amazing haul. I do not like the rouge voluptes though. they only last like 10 minutes I swear.

  3. @VexInTheCity - :) I am sure it didn't smell that bad - although perfumes do smell different depending on the person - one of my friends loved poison but hated how it smelled on here - she used to drown me in it everytime we went shopping lol

@legseleven7 - That is the only downside of it - I don't mind frequent reapplying but it does mean it probably won't last too long :(

  4. Yinka its funny that you say that about Chaud, the boy hated the smell of Lola too. Maybe has powers to keep men away!!

  7. I'm waiting quite impatiently for Lola to come out here in Italy, the bottle is so gorgeous that I'm hoping I like the scent! As for the Rouge Volupté, I love the formula, so very comfortable on the lips, isn't it? Yeah, you do have to apply it v.often, but that gives you an excuse to pull it out of your bag & be the envy of all the other girls around u!! Anna x
PS: I answered u on your previous comment, but I'm not sure u read it...anyways, I'm a Durham alum, love the city to bits! Whereabout do u live...if I'm not too indescreet??

  12. Nice buys. Marc Jacobs Lola is definitely on my Christmas list. My boyfriend likes it too so it doesn't repel all men!
