Operation Nail Growth

As you can see this month I have bought some fabby nail varnish but as yet you've seen no nails of the day posts, well at the moment my nails aren't worth painting. Illness, medication, and the cold weather has all meant my nails are awful, super dooper short, with dry cuticles and hangnails (the pics actually make them look better than they are)

So for the next month I have decided to try a little experiment - operation nail growth - I am going to have a good go at getting a proper nail routine together with proper nail and cuticle moisturising, and some nail strengthening products, using items by OPI, Jessica, Leighton Denny, Nails Inc, Lush and so on which I already own (see not buying anything new ;) )

So have a good luck at my before nails and hopefully in a months time I can show you something a bit nicer - wish me luck and if you have any nail, hand and cuticle care hints and recommendations let me know x

  3. I've been using Lemony Flutter from Lush on my cuticles for about 2 wks on and off, and it has helped my cuticles, but I think it's helped my nails grow too. And it smells fabulous!
I used my advantage card points on some Nails Inc, which had a vitamin enriched base coat along with a wet look top coat, sorry can't remember the names of them lol, I used the base coat on friday and my nails do seem to be stronger!

  4. We should do this together, I'm in my fourth week of growing now and I don't think my nails have ever grown this fast before. I'm using a Sally Hansen protector thingy, if you look on my blog, you will see it (I'm not at my desk now so can't remember the name).

It's pretty good, I apply it every day and then every 5 days (or when it gets really thick and starts to peel) I take it all off and apply a fresh coat.

  5. I'm with you on this, I cut all of mine last night because one broke really short.. I have to say it feels weird, my fingers feel like stumps and typing is crazy when you use your fingertips!.. I can't wait for them to grow again!
