NOTD - OPI Hong Kong Collection - Lucky Lucky Lavender - Redone!

When it comes to nail polishes and make up, I'm a bit of a sucker for new collections and new things and as a result I  recently bought a couple of colours from OPI's new Spring collection which is all themed around the island of Hong Kong, and this pretty pastel was one of them.

Lucky Lucky Lavender to me isn't a true lavender colour, it's more of a slightly cool, lilac toned pink. Despite the fact that it's a flat cream polish it hasn't been the easiest one to photograph so in real life this shade is probably just a touch darker.

In theory creams should be one of the easiest polish formulations to apply but again the reality is pretty different. Cream polishes and perhaps more specifically cream polishes in pastel shades can be a nightmare to apply. Why? well they can streak, this one was as bad as some of the paler more white based shades in my collection but it still took a good two coats to get an even finish on most nails.

It was definitely worth the effort though, OPI aren't one of the biggest manicure brands in the world for nothing, their polishes consistently deliver on all fronts, including ease of application and wear time and Lucky Luck Lavender is no different. This is the perfect Spring / Summer shade and it's one that I am really happy to have in my collection. Are you a fan of OPI polishes ? Let me know in the comments x
