NARS - A New Obsession ?

If you've been keeping up with my haulage posts I did happen to mention that I was waiting for a few pieces from NARS, well over the last few days after much drumming of fingers, and a little bit of stressing my parcels came :) Apologies in advance for the badness of some of these photographs my camera is having a stroppy week
First up something I fell in love with, the colours are so, so me - the eyeshadow duo in Nouveau Monde


My camera really isn't doing these colours justice - your get a gorgeous silvery lilac, and a beautiful golden olive green -they are so soft and buttery - amazing and so beautiful


I also got something  that I initially dismissed, that was until I started to see more swatches and a certain person on twitter did some serious enabling ;) can you guess what it is? yes it's Dogon :)



This duo consists of a beautiful metallic taupe with green flashes, which to be honest was the primary reason why I bought this I love taupes, duochromes and shimmers and this one fits the bill. You also get a charcoal black shade, this was the one I was bit worried about I just couldn't see how I would get much use out of it, still I took the plunge and ordered it anyways, justifiable on the account that I had a Diet Coke code left ;) What you can't see though through the internet is the gorgeous navy blue flashes in the charcoal shade,
yes it is pretty dark and pigmented but I followed the enablers advice and applied the taupe over the top - wow the colour it creates is fabulous a real shimmery pewter / gold, green pile of duochrome gorgeousness :) again excuse the bad photos but these swatches show from L-R - the taupe, the charcoal, and then the two colours layered


So pretty - I have to say I don't own much NARS but I have to say I can see myself giving the brand lots and lots more love, and I've made a good start buying 3 eyeshadow duos in May eek. Yes the brand is a bit pricey but the quality is definitely there at least it is with the items I've got :) - I think dangerous new obsession has started eek - Any questions please ask x
