If you've followed my blog or my You Tube channel for sometime you'll know that I'm a huge fan of Elemis. So many items from this iconic British brand have popped up in my favourites videos and posts, including their famous Pro Collagen Marine Cream, and their Skin Nourishing Milk Bath, well I've got another one to add to the list, their Melting Cleansing Gel.
I've actually owned this product for a little while now, I originally received it as a present from my mum when it came in a QVC Today's Special Value kit. Elemis prices can be a little bit scary if I'm honest so if ever you see an Elemis TSV it's well worth taking a peek, they are usually so much better value than buying the products individually. Any I digress I've owned this product for a while now but I have so many cleansers to use up it's taken a while to reach it. When I was on holiday though I did take a little sachet with me to try and I have to say I loved it, so the minute I got home this cleanser moved straight to the front of the queue
Packaged in a squeezy tube, Elemis Melting Cleansing Gel is different to any other cleanser I've tried texture wise. When you squeeze into your hand, it has quite a thick gel texture, with a pearlised appearance.
All you do is massage the gel over your dry face, and then using wet fingers massage your face to loosen the gel. The addition of water turns the gel into an amazingly light cleansing milk
The product rinses away really easily either by using a damp muslin cloth, or a damp facial sponge, and due to the inclusion of moisturising ingredients such as Argan Oil, and Moringa, you skin is left feeling super hydrated. Don't worry though if like me you have an oilier skin, this product also contains Rice Silk and Rosemary Leaf to mattify and purify the skin, this product really is suitable for all skin types.
Although this cleanser does remove make up really well, for me it's very much a morning cleanser, it has an amazing aroma of fresh oranges, which really seems to wake you up in the morning, as well as leaving tired skin feeling super clean and revitalised.
Would I buy this again, well price and funds permitting yes, that is the one negative I guess, despite the fact you don't need a lot at around £19.00 plus for 125ml of product it is out of a lot of peoples price range. This looks lovely but as you say Elemis is more of a 'treat' brand. I recently tried Palmer's new facial cleanser, which is a similar milky formula, it's lovely and moisturising.
