Leighton Denny Babydoll popped up in one of last years beauty boxes, forgive me that I don't know which one but I think I subscribe to most of them (I'm too scared to cancel one in case I miss something amazing, sad eh!) On receipt of the box I was really pleased it was there I'm normally a fan of his polishes but this one shall we say was a bit of nightmare
I always have an issue with pale pinks like this, Barry M'S Pale Pink and Strawberry Ice Cream just didn't work for me, in the bottle I love this shade but on my nails it just makes me look ill. Added to that it's a cream polish, I always think they need extra work and careful application and this one was no different, it streaked, some nails needed 2 coats, and some needed 3
Maybe it's a summer colour, maybe it's not one for short nails, I don't know but sadly I don't think it's a colour I'm going to reach for often so I'm passing it on to someone who might love it more. My mum thinks it looks nice albeit from a distance , we don't see our hands in the distance though do we, hmm - what do you think of Babydoll?
I found this streaks so I just wear it with a glitter polish over the top. x
ReplyDeleteI think it's such a pretty summer shade. I know what you mean about not feeling it works on you, I have polishes I feel that way about. I got the shade Hanky Panky in my box, which is a shimmery orange that I'll never wear - I believe the other was a blue, which I didn't like the look of either. xx
ReplyDeleteLou I am so glad I'm not the only one with this problem! It was from Glossybox ;) and I really don't like it either, mine's streaky and has separated in the bottle and just won't dry, arrrghh! xxx
