Some Gifts and Haulage - Avon, Boots, Revlon Lip Butters and Ebay

I spent most of my mini blogging hiatus taking photographs, when I eventually uploaded them onto the computer there were over 150 of them faints, and guess what quite a few of them were in category entitled Haulage. Lets be honest I've doing some online shopping - I've been more than a little bored stuck in the house looking after my mum so I rather naughtily decided to do some shopping. The biggest culprit was of course Boots, can you guess what I ordered?

Yes Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter, I ordered mine  a week past Thursday when the initial stock disappeared in minutes - I only managed to pick up 2 as part of the two Revlon items for £10.00 offer - first up 005 Sugar Frosting

This is a very pale neutral pink, you can barely see the swatch on my hand, on the lips though as you can see it gives a shiny your lips but better look x sorry the lip shots are a bit blurry

I also got 080 Strawberry Shortcake which is a beautiful light bubblegum pink shade, definitely my favourite of the two

I have to say so far so good with these, I'm always wary of products that are hyped up or deemed as the next big thing, but these do seem to be hitting the spot. The shades I bought aren't overly pigmented but they feel nice on the lips and they feel really moisturising. I definitely plan to add a few more of these to my collection with Sweet Tart, Lollipop, and Berry Smoothie being at the top of my list x

Whilst I was flicking around the Boots site a certain product kept calling to me, and like the weakling I am I added it to my basket - before I tell you what it is first of all take a look at the packaging

Cute isn't it I love this sort of psychedelic floral design, and do you know what I love the product inside even more

Released as part of the Spring collection Boots No7 Vital Enlightening Highlighter Powder is a gorgeous silky soft creamy white gold highlighter, No7 did a similar powder a few years ago which I loved and this is nearly identical in colour and texture :)

Another Boots own brand product also ended up in my basket, this time from 17 was this

I must admit I prefer the outer box packaging to the pale pink palette packaging , but yes yet again this was a product which I bought purely on appearances

The 17 Spring Fling palette in Hazy Days features an floral design made up of 4 eye colours, to pretty to use almost, but the colours in the Hazy Days palette are so wearable I can actually see myself using this one.

When I placed the order there was a 3 for 2 promotion on No7 and 17 make up and skincare so I went for another make up product one of the new 17 Instant Glow range

I have to say I love the packaging of this product. The 17 Instant Glow Pink Bronze Bronzing Rocks come in a clear chunky acrylic pot

You get two shades of "rocks" a bronze / copper shade, and a light shimmery / pink nude - the perfection combination of bronzer and highlighter in one x

My final purchase from Boots was the much hyped and much talked about Max Factor Fantasy Fire

Wow how pretty is this colour - yet another product that deserves the hype !

Over the last couple of weeks I've also had a couple of Avon orders come - first up one I paid for - no beauty items here but I did get this pretty necklace from the sale brochure

and this cute Hello Kitty overnight bag - look she's a cupcake :)

I'm not intending to use this as an overnight bag I'm going to use it as a laptop bag - it's just the right size for my laptop and my new charger ;)

My second Avon order was beauty based and it was very kindly paid for by my mum :) -  first up it contained the new Ideal Flawless foundation

I had a couple of samples of this and I really liked it, I went for the shade Ivory which is a perfect match for me at the moment, the samples I had were in the next shade up Shell, which will be better for me when I have a little bit more colour x

I also got two nail polishes, Violetta Sparkle - a dark purple with purple and gold sparkle and Coral Reef  - as the name suggests a super bright summery coral.

I really wish I could say that was it haul wise but it wasn't eek no matter I am majorly happy with my two ebay purchases that finish this haul including yet another Catherine Arley nail polish 673 a gorgeous holographic purple x

Finally I got one of the Wet N Wild Colour Icon 8 Pan Palettes in 738 Comfort Zone

The shades are beautiful and the shadows are so soft and pigmented - My favourite shade so far is the one on the bottom right - it's exactly like MAC Blue Brown pigment which I love :)

Gorgeous don't you think? as per usual if you have  any questions on my goodies please leave me a comment xx

  1. I wish I could afford to splurge like this.
But being self employed and earning less than minimum wage makes it difficult.
But its good to see my taxes are being spent wisely.

    1. I'm really not sure how to take your comments so if I've misinterpreted it I apologise all I will say is my finances and what I spend my money is nothing to do with you or anyone else - To be honest I wish I had your life whatever it is as opposed to my own which to be honest it pretty damn shit - people make choices as to what they do in their lives my choices have been taken away. My blog is a happy place and a place for me to get away from some of the bad things in my life and I don't need people making judgement on what I do or don't do

    2. I can't see why you would want to swap. You have complained about not having a laptop charger for the past week. I can't afford to own a laptop and have to walk to my local library to use any internet. That is in between working every hour to keep a roof over my head.
I don't have the option to even budget £5 a month to luxuries.
I am sorry but by posting these hauls you are offering yourself to be judged, whether it be by people liking your purchases or not.
It's just disappointing, not your fault I guess if a system allows you to have so much money to spend on make up/clothes/computers/cameras (on top of what you need for rent/food) then why not take advantage

    3. As I've said before you know nothing about me or my circumstances yet again you are jumping to conclusion after conclusion - I don't have to justify my life to you and you don't have to justify yours to mine
Oh and if you think that a laptop is a reason why my life is so good then your wrong - the laptop was a gift from my mother who is my carer it enables me to communicate with friends and so on which is nigh on impossible since I find it so hard to leave the house and have a normal life. I can only hope you never find yourself in my position I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. If you aren't interested in my blog and what I post seems to incite such nastiness and jealousy within you then I suggest you don't read or comment anymore - I certainly won't publish further comments you leave and I hope you feel good for making someones feel even shitter than they already do

    1. Hi Tanya - As I say I've only tried a few sample up to now but I really liked it the coverage was really good but it didn't feel heavy or cloggy and it lasted really well on my oily combo skin x Unfortunately Wet N Wild pulled out of the UK a year or so a go some of their old stock is still available discounted online and in poundland even but I think we can only get the newer items from the USA - I got the colour icon palettes from US ebay x There are some really good sellers that ship to the UK x

  11. I dont really understand what was so bad about this post that Patricia began mouthing off. No-one is forcing her to be self employed, there are plenty of jobs out there waiting to be grabbed. If you have the moolah to buy a few things for yourself why not! Just because she doesnt, doesnt mean shes allowed to criticise anyone that does. Your not parading what you bought with the HAHA I CAN BUY MAKEUP ANYTIME I WANT ATTITUDE. Your sharing it with your fellow followers which is what beauty bloggers do. What did she expect to see when she came on this page? Lord i wonder what she does when goes on Youtube and to the beauty section and watches all those beauty collection videos. Shes one of the people that restrict me from starting blogging, i don't have the patience or the temper to deal with people like her.

But anyways...essay over. Great Haul. How do you use those rocks?

    1. You get people like that lovely xx - the bronzing rocks are just like bronzing pearls you just swirl a brush over to get a lovely shimmery bronze that you can use on the face or body or you use an ickle brush on the individual rocks to use them on your eyes :)

  14. I love Fantasy Fire so much I've been stockpiling it and have now got 3! It's definitely the best over purple.
I've been reading your lovely blog for a while but not commented before - I felt I had to though after reading a certain persons mean and uncalled for comments! I can't understand the point in reading a beauty blog and complaining about the blogger buying beauty things - makes no sense to me. Anyway, haul posts are my favourite!
