Boys Make Passes At Girls Who Wear Glasses? - A Review Of Firmoo - The Global Online Optical Store

Well I wish lol but I've worn glasses on and off since I was a child, firstly for reading and now for everything. Over the years I've toyed with the idea of contact lenses but I like my specs. Part of the reason that I've stuck with my glasses is down to the lack of stigma that now exists surrounding glasses. Gone (hopefully) are the days when specs wearers are regularly greeted with chants of "specky four eyes" glasses are now chic and dare I say it fashionable. Geek chic has become common place and awards such as celebrity spectacle wearer of the year have all elevated the humble pair of specs to the height of fashion, making them a must have item for lots of people out there whether they need them or not!

It's cheap enough to buy a pair with plain lenses but if your eyesight is as bad as mine lenses can cost a fortune, as can frames. The most I've paid for a pair of specs was £500 including for a pair of D&G ones that I love but quite often I'm too scared to wear.

I was recently contacted by Firmoo, the worlds most popular online eyeglasses store and given the opportunity to try out a pair of glasses from their site.

There have an extensive range of both men's and women's glasses, sunglasses, reading glasses, bifocals - you name it they probably have it. Whilst none of the glasses are branded there all in up to the minute styles to suit every age and personality. The site makes is easy to search, and you can even upload a photograph so you can virtually try on your chosen pair

They sell glasses with clear frames or they can provide prescription lenses to suit you. All opticians should provide you with a copy of your prescription, you just add the relevant information to their online form, and take a few simple measurements and that's it - done x

I have a bit of a complicated prescription so if they can produce, a pair for me I'm sure they can do the same for you. There was so much choice on the site but in the end I decided to go with the trends and get a geeky tortoiseshell pair - model  #DBSN5275

I really love these and I've worn them an awful lot since I got them, you may have seen them in a few of my videos, and I wore them for the Lush event :)

They can look quite funky with the hair down or when I wear my hair back they definitely have a touch of the stern school teacher about them :)

These frames are make of a sturdy acetate (plastic to you and me) and the have moulded nose pads (is that the name ??) so there is nothing to lose or come off.

It doesn't matter if it did though, as my glasses came complete with a mini screwdriver on a keyring, and some replacement screws, so you can adjust them for comfort or replace the screws if ever they get lost.

I also loved the fact that these glasses come with two cases, a drawstring pouch

and a hard case, with a substantial cleaning cloth. I love this option whilst the hard case obviously provides more protection, the soft case is great for just throwing in your bag, I think I'm going to use that one for my sunglasses.

Alas these frames have now been discontinued but there are loads of similar styles on the website, and the accessories come as standard :)

I have to say I was really pleased with my Firmoo experience the glasses were first class, as was the service and communication from the company. Firmoo's tagline is quality and fashionable eye wear at affordable price and that is exactly what they deliver - the cheapest frames on the site are around £11. That's not all though, you can get your first pair free!!! All new customers can get there first pair of glasses with single vision lenses for free all you need to do is pay shipping costs, which even when you consider that, makes for one cheap pair of specs. For more information please check out the Firmoo website x

I would thoroughly recommend Firmoo if your looking for a new or a cheaper pair of specs. I'm currently eyeing up a few pairs of their sunglasses ;) If you have any questions please leave me a comment x
