September Buys And Gifts - Primark, Poundland, Superdrug, Ebay And More x

Well September was the month when I was going to be good and to try and cut down on my spending, I've managed to stay under my limit but only thanks to my gorgeous Momma x

Nail Polish - Ebay - £2.59
MUA Colour Blast Eyeshadow Tints x 2 - £6.00
Superdrug Haul - £5.49
Beauty Bits - Poundland - £3.00
Nail Polish And Photo Frame - Poundland - £2.00
Clutch Bag ./ Shoulder Bag - ebay - £3.99
Rose Earrings - ebay - 99p
Total - £24.06
£15.94 Under

I'll start of with some of the bits that I bought myself. This month I've spent more money in Poundland
than I have anywhere else. I love trying and new things and I love a bit of a bargain - First up I got a pack of Snappy Stylers. I'd seen something similar elsewhere for a lot more money, so for a £1 for 2 I thought I would give these a go. I'm utterly useless at putting my hair up and I hope unlike the obligatory hair doughnut that this might make it easier - I'll report back when I've had a play x

Next up this shabby chic effect photo frame. For just £1.00, the quality is excellent and I think it's the ideal home for a postcard of a painting that I picked up a while ago x

I always head to the beauty section when I'm in Poundland, I know people have a go at Poundland selling "old" beauty products but you pays your money and you takes your choice. There wasn't too much branded stuff in the last time I was there so I bought a few of their own brand things including these Allura Self Adhesive Nails.

The idea seems pretty similar to that of the Impress nails but obviously they were a lot cheaper, I popped these into my holiday make up bag so I might even by the fabulous thing of scheduled posting by wearing them now. I'll do a full review when I get home x

The next thing I got was the Pretty branded Velvet Effect Manicure Kit. I've never really warmed to this look before but for a £1 I thought it was worth a try.

I got the purple shade, which came with a purple polish, a vial of purple flocking fibres, and a little brush. Again I'll review it when I've tried it x

My final Poundland purchase was a packet of Tea Tree And Peppermint Softening Heel Patches. I'd already used a foot peel (more on that later) at the start of the month, and I felt that they still needed a bit of moisture, so I thought I'd give these a go x A mini review of these will be in tomorrows empties post xx

My next purchases this month came from ebay - I made 3 ebay purchases this month including this lovely shoulder / clutch bag.

Annoyingly it's a little bit cheaper now but it was still a bargain at just £3.99 - £3.85 now from this seller. It comes with a detachable chain strap and it features a double fastening. I got the white but it comes in loads of other colours x

It's been ages since I'd bought a nail polish from ebay but I took the plunge this month and a got a feather effect polish from this seller for just £2.59. There were a few colours to choose from but the one I got was #1, which has lots of turquoise, blue, and white strands.

My final ebay purchase of the month were these cute earrings,

I'd been trying to match some earrings with a dress that I might even be wearing this minute, and I thought that these would be perfect, alas they didn't match, and I found some that I already had whoops but they're cute and they were only 99p from this seller x These are in the shade Apple Green but they have loads of different colours x

The last purchases of the month came from Superdrug I bought a nail polish for my godmother and took advantage of the Beauty UK buy one get one half price promotion to get the Beauty UK Posh Pout in No.2 Would I Lilac To You.

I'd swatched these before so I thought I'd get one and try them out. I have to say early impressions aren't amazing, the crayon keeps falling out of the bullet, and it has a taste and smell of mint mixed with eau de crayon about it.

I am also not convinced that the colour is that flattering on me, it seems to have a dead blue tone to it. It also clings to every patch of dry skin on the lips - not good. Admittedly I'm wearing quite a bit of fake tan here but I'm just not sure.

I also managed to get my hands on two of the MUA Colour Blast Eyeshadow Tints. I went for A Girl Like Me and Stay. . I haven't had a chance to swatch these yet let alone try them so I'll do a full review post when I've had a chance to use them properly.

My final purchase of the month was the Collection Work The Colour Shadow Pencil in Hot Chocolate. I love these pencils, for just £2.50 these are well worth it if you want a quick, long lasting eyeshadow look x

This pencil leads me nicely on to the first item that Mummy Lou bought me this month she bought me the same pencil, this time in the shade Vintage Blush - a lovely shimmery pink.

I'm going to do a full post on these pencils so keep your eyes peeled and your purse handy ;)

The next Superdrug item that Mummy Lou got me was the MUA 1D What Makes You Beautiful Cheek Tint in Pink Explosion.

This is one hot, hot pink, the pigmentation is excellent and despite look super, duper scary it actually blends down to a really wearable pink.

You can see it in this picture both on my cheeks and on my lips :)

She also picked my a couple of the L'Oreal Micellar Waters which were on special

and a packet of the Superdrug Baby Large Cotton Pads.

St Mummy Of LouLouLand also bought me a few bits from Primark including this necklace which a lot of bloggers and You Tubers have

some Tea Tree facial wipes,

and another set of the Purederm Botanical Choice Exfoliating Foot Masks, a review of these will be up in my September empties post tomorrow, but the fact that I got some more probably tells you it all xx

Next up Avon, what can I say my next door neighbour is an Avon lady :) anyway Mummy Lou paid for this Shika Bracelet, I ordered the Tigers Eye, which is said to promote health and healing - ha ha - as Mummy Lou said need all the help we can get when it comes to health lol

She also got me this gorgeous highlighting blusher Revitalized which was in one of the sale supplements.

It's such a pretty shimmery peach, colour, it isn't showing too well in the face shot but it definitely has a bit of the NARS Orgasm about it.

She also picked me up something that I'd wanted in Lidl, the Cien nail polish remover, this time the acetone free version x

Finally she got me a couple of fashion bits including this bag from H&M

It's pretty similar to the Zara one which everyone and their mum seems to have but it was only £29.99 and the shape is slightly different. Unlike the Zara one it one has one compartment but it's a huge one, and the poppers at the side mean it can expand even further.

Finally she bought me this ASOS bandeau top (the pants are ancient). It's in my case and all being well I'm intending to wear it tomorrow. My tummy is still super flabby but why not, people are too worried about their own inadequacies and hang ups to care if my tummy is a bit (I mean a lot) wobbly (excuse the tiny pic)

So that was September's haul I've made a couple of videos so you can have a proper look at some of the things that I've bought.

As you've probably already guessed next month monthly spends is going to be a bit difficult, with me being on holiday and wanting and needing to spend some money :), so I've decided to ignore my holiday spends and just do my monthly spends and try to stick to my limit for the rest of the month x As per usual if you have any questions on anything that I've got this month please leave me a comment and I'll respond on my return x

Thinking Slimmer - Slim Pod - Week 19

Hi Guys x For my first scheduled post of the week I've decided to do a Thinking Slimmer update for you x

I normally weigh on a Monday as you know, but since I've already got a post lined up for tomorrow I thought I'd do it today for you.

My first goal was to lose weight for my holiday and in the 19 weeks since I've started the Thinking Slimmer programme, I've lost 20lbs, including another pound this week :) I've still got a long way to go, but by and large I'm happy with how I've done so far and my swimsuit picture will be up on my return if I'm brave enough.

After a little break for my holidays I will be starting phase 2 - lose some more weight before Christmas, but I'll tell you more about that when I get back x Thanks again for all your support xx

(The Thinking Slimmer Slim Pod "Create That Summer Beach Body" Was Provided For Review / Promotional Purposes)

Foodie Friday - What I Ate In September

Your not going to think it from this post but by and large in September I've ate pretty healthily. The majority of things that I'm going to show you though probably aren't that healthy -  but everything in moderation as the saying goes.

The month started with a big event, Mummy Lou's birthday :) Since we were both saving for our hols instead of going out for a meal, I made one instead - 3 courses plus appetisers :)

We started the meal with the Mediterranean Appetiser Selection from Asda. We really enjoyed this, you got several different types of olives, sun dried tomatoes and mozzarella pearls, and habas fritas. Wow the habas fritas were amazing, they are basically fried, salted broad beans - these were gorgeous. If anyone knows where I can buy these on their own or how to make them please let me know :)

For our starter I toasted some slices gluten free white baguette, and topped them with a mixture of baby button mushrooms cooked gently in butter, chopped garlic and just a dash of cream :)

The main course was my Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni with a twist - you can see the recipe I used here x

After an hours rest :) we had some homemade raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake, which was incredible.

I was a bit of a naughty girl and I also had some of my mums birthday cake, I paid the price for it but I love birthday cake - this one was an Asda Celebration cake :)

The rest of my foodie adventures this month have been all about comfort food, and I cooked a couple of my favourite recipes that I've shown you in the past, including this Hot Potato And Quorn Saute.

My veggie chilli x

Broccoli and Stilton soup,

and my Roasted Tomato And Basil Soup x

and I pimped up the leftover soup and added some gluten free spaghetti.

I also made my version of this recipe - Walnut And Broccoli Pasta from the fabulous Wonky Monkey xx

and I tried the phenomenon of the crustless quiche on more than one occasion x

Finally a real comfort meal for me - veggie sausages, veggie onion gravy, and creamy mashed potato - heaven !

Next Friday I will be on holidays but don't despair, I have a scheduled recipe post ready to go up next week for you x Have you eaten anything interesting this month x let me know x
