If your a long time reader or a more recent reader of my blog you should have by now realised that I'm a bit of a shopaholic. I love clothes shopping but every now and then I have good clear out of the things that I no longer wear.
There are loads of places where you can either sell or donate your unwanted clothing items but if your in the North East then maybe I have a suggestion.
intu Metro Centre have teamed up with homelessness charity Centrepoint to open an empty shop within the in the Town Square area of the centre between 3rd and 6th April.
Unlike the rest of the shops in the centre this one is there to sell anything. Instead staff for Centrepoint and young people being helped by the charity will be on hand to receive donations of unwanted good, quality clothing and at the end of each day the shop will be emptied and the donation will be passed on to young homeless people in need.
I'm not sure I'm going to be able to make it down there myself but I think that this is is a great initiative that will benefit all parties involved and will hopefully do some long term good. For more information please check out the intu Metro Centre website and Centrepoint's own website here x
